So the Golf Course Designer is trying to make sure your attempts to hit the ball solid and straight are not successful.

And the Teaching Pro is trying to teach you how to hit the ball solid and straight.

Who’s winning?

Something is fundamentally missing in teaching golf. Courses are getting harder and longer, and golfers are not getting better. Or are they? Sure, there’s the model swing, and there’s clubfitting. Both designed to help you hit the ball solid and straight. It’s a GREAT start.

But it only works on the range.

WHAT IF your ball was almost never going to go straight?
WHAT IF you could predict what is going to happen to your ball?
WHAT IF you actually had control over where your ball went?

You do, you just don’t know it.

Have you seen a NASCAR race recently? Sure, it’s a lot of stock cars going fast, turning left. But, those high banked turns are — interesting! Which starts first, the banking or the turn? And where do the cars go? Shucks, Dale, if they went straight they’d hit the wall!

So, how would you like to know what to do with that model golf swing you’re working so hard on? (Hint: GPS)

How in the world did tour players of the 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s play golf without today’s technology?

They learned to play the game on the course! That’s what GPS is about. Sure, technology has made the game easier for some, but handicaps are not going down!

Why is that? There is a simple answer: Golfers are not playing the game. There is an over-reliance on the model golf swing, to the point of blaming only your ability to repeat the swing. And in model swing theory, there is one major factor that is often neglected: Balance! Balance is the support key to almost any swing improvement.

If the instructor wants your arms or your club to go in a different direction or position, that change will not be effective without changing balance! If you’re supposed to take the club more inside going back, it will not be effective if your weight is on the balls of your feet. It only makes sense: why would a ball go straight if you’re off balance? Imagine the effects of swinging a driver at 100 mph, while being off balance by 5%. Where is that ball going?

It’s great for self-diagnosing too: If you’re off balance on the balls of your feet, the ball should go to the right, and off balance on your heels, the ball should go to the left.

But GPS is far more than the model swing…!

"I hit it great on the range, but I couldn't take it to the golf course!"

I hear it all the time: “I hit it great on the range, but I couldn’t take it to the golf course!” Sound familiar? EVERYBODY has the same problem….

It’s time you and I had a frank discussion about the game of golf. Everybody is searching for the swing that works all the time. Unfortunately, who do you know that has found it?

Exactly! Don’t get me wrong, a good swing is important. But how far does it get you? And who do you know that has a different swing but is a really good player?

Think Jim Furyk, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, and more recently on tour, Steve Marino and Tommy Two Gloves…

Perhaps it’s time for some home-made golf swings to excel. But, regardless of your swing, you CAN play better golf and it’s not that hard. That’s because GPS works with any golf swing.

GPS is a Playing Method, and has little to do with your model golf swing. GPS is not about how good your model golf swing is, it’s about what you do with it! It’s about how you play the game. Don’t neglect it…
